Happy New Year

To celebrate the new year, I decided to go with new hair and new make up - think permanent.  Unfortunately for me, the only way to get truly permanent hair style is to go with a wig.  My grandmother used to take her wigs into the hair salon once a week to be styled and set - and probably get the local gossip.

Then realize I am needle phobic - the only needles I like are the ones that go in and out of fabric.  I wish I were braver about having permanent eye liner and eyebrows done.  Then I think about all of those people who work in cosmetic factories I'd be depriving of work and I realize I'm doing a duty to the economy by NOT engaging with ink, needles, nerves, and fear of a person who might sneeze at the wrong time.
