Deeper and Deeper

So, the answer to the unasked question is, "YES!"  Lisa can indeed do distance learning ... and complete it all by her lonesome ... but I was lonesome doing the hypnotherapy course online.  I passed and I learned a lot ... but I think the thing I learned most of all is that I really LIKE people and I enjoy being with them.  The postmortem, for the lack of a phrase, is something I truly do enjoy.

So now I can and will go deeper and deeper into my own goals, dreams, desires ... and I might even pursue the certification for an actual practice.  Very marketable that skill.

I do solemnly swear on a stack of old phonebooks not to make anyone cluck like a chicken.

Really.

digging deeper

Adventures in online hypnotherapy continue, but not smoothly.

Turns out that my browser won't let me pause the lessons ... and there is no way to forward through the thing if I have to leave for a few minutes.  MP3s, not a possibility.

Despite it all, I am over half done with the course and am passing all of my tests fairly well.

Unfortunately, I have a HUGE fear of failure and just now saw that I have an oral exam with the tutor on 36 questions at the end of this to ensure I really and truly do understand what I am doing.

YEESH.

So, I guess I will have to dig deeper, and yes, deeper is a phrase oft times used in hypnosis, to get through.

adventures in distance learning ...

the would be horrified granny
Distance learning (remember correspondence courses) have never appealed to me.  I lack the discipline and motivation unless there is a reason to physically GO somewhere to LEARN something.  (Yes, I know the rest of the world does advanced degrees online ... webinars have replaced training programs at some companies ... Skype is replacing face to face contact and family meetings.)

I am OLD SCHOOL (and wouldn't my granny be horrified?).

If I am skipping school, I want to be doing something adventuresome - not the laundry.  I want to do something DIFFERENT.

So, instead of actually writing the novel I have drafted (and yes, Tinkerbell, it is drafted), I signed up for an online hypnotherapy class.

I wanted to see if I would actually have the discipline to do what the rest of the world does to advance their own minds.  I also wanted to see if what I have had done to me, I can do to others (yes, I have a thing for going deeper and deeper down, so to speak).  Besides, the price was right (free).

So, there are a lot of parenthesis.  So what? The syntax, grammar, spelling, punctuation fairies are taking the night off.
