A family friend has been going through some serious trials in her
life recently ... I can relate. She lives at a distance and after a
lengthy phone call, I didn't think I'd made any kind of a difference to
her. I don't even think she vented all of the things she had on her
chest.
Right before I hung up, I remembered an old song by KC and the Sunshine Band ... Give It Up. For the short term, she needs to give up control of the things she can't change or can't control.
This song made me think of all of the things you can't control - and if you could, would you really want to?
Plus, can you really not listen to this song and not smile, even if it is a little corny?
